Ok.. can't remember if it was Tillman or William that posed this question at Nicola's a week ago, but I have a guess.. 1978 And the question? What season had the most F1 champions racing in it.. I didn't look at whether they were prior or future, I just did world champions.. Piquet Rosberg Andretti Scheckter Hunt Lauda Fittipaldi Jones I didn't go back any further, but my guess is purely that, a guess.. Todd
I asked the question, and wow, 8 champions in one race? That would be the equivilent of MS, RB, KR, FA, JB, JPM, DC, and ZB all having won the Championship, and in a race today. Hell, it would be hard just to figure out if each driver raced in what year so that they could have won the championship that particular year. If you know what I mean. Someone who won it 8 years ago would still have to be driving today, the same for 7 years ago, 6 years ago, etc. (Ok, i didnt include JV cuz I dont like him, and ZB is Zolt Baumgartner from a few years ago. I allways liked his name.)
That is what Dale Jr. called Robby Gordon during the 2002 Nascar series when they go into their bumping match and Gordon took out Jr. on pit row. I believe I remember Jr saying "he was out there acting like a mobile chicane so we had to move him out of the way">)
