you're crazy man, this is what you do for a living, I'm only doing it for therapy Seriously, I did the alternator and starter motor in the last couple of months and without a hoist it is IMPOSSIBLE ... well for me anyway , and probably for most normal people
Lol!! Well, I dont have anywhere to put one. My brother suggested we fit one at his place many years ago. We were to go halves, but I didnt have any money back then. Now I got coin, he wont let me put one there..........even when I offered to pay for the hoist myself. I dont have any room here. When I build my new garage, I am more interesting in turning it into a showroom, instead of a garage/workshop. But common sense should see me deck it out with tools and a hoist to make life easy as I am ALWAYS working on cars. But I never show common sense and I will not deck my garage out with tools and a hoist.
stop reading the garage thread and do what is useful for a normal person !! Too many of those guys are bazillionaires and don't know which end of a wrench to hold so they have little need of a hoist and good luck to them , but I know you do all your own work and a hoist is ESSENTIAL so do it for your own health and leave the showroom garages to those that can afford to let others fix their cars .... I'm redoing my garage after xmas BTW and thanks to those "idiots" on that garage thread I'm going to try and have my cake and eat it by doing something nice to mine
NEVER!!!! But yep, that is the sensible thing to do! Fitout a hoist and more tools. I have a good mate that actually wants to build a 6x9m garage so he can do work out of it at his house. He is talking about fitting a hoist and building that garage SOON. So I will be able to use his if need be. But I should just set something up at my place. What are your plans for your garage JM?

Ash;s site speaks volumes of the quality of the content of character of the people on it, he chooses to run it in accordance to what two people say............and naming them will only promote them. They made a mockery of the two deaths in CA this year. That was enough for me to ask Ash to delete my account (which he hasnt), he wont control them and as far as I'm concened he can shove that site where the sun dont shine, anyone who allows derision on a site needs to have a real good look at themselves.
