    Hi All

I have a 2007 F1 430 with a gear box issue- after driving for a while the RED gear box warning light came on with a loud warning sound, having trouble shifting into 3rd gear

any idea what the issue can be ????

Check fluid first. If okay, it's possible there is air in the system. The one way valve on the Power unit sometimes malfunctions and allows backflow which traps air. Bleeding the e diff will temporarily fix the issue. Donyou have access to scanning the TCU and retrieving codes?

    Hi Art,

Thaks for the response, I have approximately 7600 Miles and resentley serviced by Ferrari. I never checked the fluids, assumed when serviced it would have been checked, I guess not. Silly me !!!

    I will check.

    Thanks

Fluid is the first thing to check. You then need to read any codes. I had an odd shifting issue and when I read codes and checked clutch life, I had 95% clutch left and the code was for a clutch position sensor. I bought the sensor for $400 and took a couple of hours to install, and never had another issue.

You need about 3/4 inch of fluid in the tank with the system up to pressure
