I don't think banning party mode did anything. Q1 & Mercedes still cleared the field on a slower tire.

I honestly don't know why Vettel had to push to be in that car pack, the car was fast enough to get through Q1 without a monster tow.

 

I haven't admittedly, kept up much with the whole topic, but I've read elsewhere it's biting Red Bull in the rear since they apparently, were the ones who wanted something done about it?
