Well, Lewis suck big time, starting 1ºs and finishing 3ºd, all his fawlt, he was behind the wheel, if he didn't need the stop he should have stayed in the track....congrats Nico..

I believe you can buy an "ex-pats package" - But it was for all sports channels for the weekend, and wasn't cheap (~$40 IIRC! )

yeah....he reckons Lewis should have been able to feel that he had no tyre issues so a stop was unnecessary and that other drivers have gone against the team's suggestions before

 

It keeps things interesting in the WDC for certain, and surely the team didn't mean to screw up so badly. Tough to lose at a race like Monaco in such fashion, but you move on.

Yes. Like I said, Lewis should be intelligent enough to know that overtaking here is nigh on impossible even on the best time vs old slow tire. He could've said I'm staying out and take my chances.

Lewis just said that he saw on the screens that the team was in the pits a boxnd assumed the other had pitted and told the team he thought he should come in because the tyres might go off.

The stop was definitely unnecessary, but at what point does a driver stop trusting the team? Do you question all of their decisions?

Often times, posters are critical when a racer goes against team orders...

You are 100% correct. I watched the post race interview and him answering Brundle-my-world-has-ended-because-Lewis-lost. Lewis just saying they will have to analyze what happened and not at all contradicting all the bit about the team cost you/robbed you.

Very disingenuous, he's gone down a long way in my estimation with that little stunt.

 

Oh well if he made the call, he called it wrong against the wishes of the team...then thats it.

I do think there are 3 sides to every story..tho.
