Which raises the question - is Max Verstappen the only Dutchman to have won World Championship Grands Prix?
Correct. The previous best result of a Dutchman was third (his father Jos as teammate of Schumacher at Benetton in 1994).
Jos only managed two 3rd places - Belgium 1994 and Hungary 1994. Gijs managed two 6th places - Netherlands 1973 and Germany 1975 and an 8th place - Netherlands 1971

Niki Lauda and Carlos Pace head down the hill at the 1975 Brazilian GP, before Interlagos was butchered down from 7.8 kilometers to 4.3 kilometers (what a stupid idea!). Also, during this time the region around the circuit was very sparsely populated with just a typical suburb neighborhood with high standard houses close to the beautiful lakes which were used by the residents for sailing. Now Autodromo de Interlagos is surrounded by a massive uncontrolled urbanization, including ugly favelas.
Watkins Glen, 1977. Lauda's last time in a Ferrari. Also, the last time I went to the Glen. * Image Unavailable, Please Login
