Okay I've got a new phone that can play those polyphonic ringtones ... and I want either a F1 car scream OR a V8 Supercar revving. Does anybody know of where I can find a ringtone? I've heard a beaut F1 scream ringtone many years ago ... Pete
In Forza or R&T this month they mentioned that Todt has an F1 ringtone, maybe a Vodafone thing? Granted he probably can get one a lot of ways, but might be a place to start looking.

There is a site g4techtv.com. It has a show screensavers. They had a show late Jan or early Feb that had a link to a site that would allow you to create a ringtone from music. You could select from the music where you wanted to start and stop. It makes sense that you could use one of speedgears cd of F1 sounds and do the same. There is a search of the shows notes. It was in one of Sara's segments. Hope this helps. stephen

I made a mistake it has to be MIDI not MP3. Then I have not been able to choose the right insturment to play a V12 Ferrari going through the gears. stephen

My Nokia came with memory sim card that records voice and can be saved as ringtone. I tried recording the F1 sound and saving it as a ringtone, but not having the right file, it is difficult to record a pleasant sound. Does anyone have a file for the F1 sound?

Pete, How can it be perfect? It is a Ferrari sound clip? You cannot be seriosly associating yourself with Ferrari. What will the racer inside you and the racing fan inside you say? Surely you must continue your search for a BAR Honda based sound clip!
A word to the wise, please keep in mind that this may be inflicting a VIRUS to your phone. Most carriers like Sprint PCS, AT&T Wireless, Cingular , Version, etc... will all void warrantee if the phone has downloaded a file from a third party source. If the phone software crashes, youre S.O.L.
