The "T" bar has come off of the top of my F1 reverse lever.
I've removed the F1 panel but was hesitant to go any further.
Looks like the plastic wrap around panel has to come off but did not want to force it.
The end of the screw is still sticking out the top of the lever but the "T" cannot rotate on the vertical shaft.
    Anybody done this before ?

Threads look OK, just seems as though the screw came loose.
Question is how to put it back together.

    Screw comes up from underneath.
Head of screw not accessible until lower part of F1 box comes apart.
Looks like plenty of stuff in that box.

Am I allowed to link to another forum ?

    OK done it. Here’s how:

Undo 4 large cross head screws holding unit onto central tunnel
Remove unit from central tunnel and pull off electrical connector
Pull back 8 plastic clips holding FRP plate onto the underside of the unit and remove the plate
Remove small cross head screw holding plastic casing onto alloy plate – hidden down the hole in the middle of the circuit board
Pull back 4 plastic clips holding plastic casing onto alloy plate – this is the tricky bit. You need to pull back all four clips simultaneously for the casing to come away and they spring back when you let go. I wedged screws underneath them to stop them springing back.
Pull plastic casing away from alloy face plate to reveal reverse lever mechanism still attached to face plate - take care mechanism does not come away at this stage as there is nothing holding it onto the face plate
Reattach T-bar and tighten cross head screw from underside of reverse lever mechanism
Reassemble unit in reverse (no pun intended) order of above

I will post some photos tonight.

    Its relatively straightforwad

I got it apart and found the 2 of the 4 pins with bushings had broken off the sides of the lever. There's a seller on Ebay that offers a replacement part for about $120.
I saw mention that the original part is plastic. Mine was aluminum, still broke.
Hard to see how you could break it when used properly. But I guess if you pull back on it hard enough something is going to give.
