F1 part ID gear shift box

Hi, I am an amateur car enthusiast and have had the luck to marshal Indy races, no F1. But I was delighted when I found what looks like a factory stamped gear shift box from a Ferrari. The claim is that it is from a Vintage Ferrari that won an F1 world championship, so I am interested to try to verify the claim. The body is cast and the top is machined, stamped as follows: Ferrari G.G. 077 macchina rossa. So I'm assuming Giorgetto Giugiaro, red car, but I am hoping the stamped number might help to identify where this could be from. It sits as a pen holder on my desk so it is really an inquiry of fanatical interest.
