Dear Owners! On my 2006 F430 I have the following gear shifting problems: 1, When shifting from 1 to 2 gears above 3000 rpm on a hot engine, the second gear is "not found" and after 5-10 ms after the second gear is skipped, the car shifts to third gear. 2, The yellow slow down lights up when the above problem occurs and the pressure in the F1 system drops to around 25 bar. When the car is in third gear, the pressure in the F1 system returns to the original range. I have read on the forum that the F1 system engine on early models is underpowered and can fail frequently. Please help anyone who has had a similar problem and managed to fix it.
Check for codes. Also Aldous write up says yellow slow down indicates Electronic differential issues, which is tied into you f1 system because the f1 pump keeps both pressurized.
What is your normal hydraulic pressure range, 25 bar is low as you say. From what i understand the bank of solenoids under the rear wing are energized in different combinations to select the required gear, but as your pressure is low i am thinking your problem is elsewhere. Like Lorenzo says the e diff might be worth a look but i would expect it to apply to any gear. Have a look at the wiring under the wing for the solenoid valves, you will need to remove the wheel liner for access, all the screws are in the wheel well except one at 12 o clock, you need to remove the side panel in the engine bay to access the screw
F1 pump would be my guess if not enough pressure. Also time it and see how often it cycles . A broken accumulator can also cause pressure loss I believe? Read the codes and post them here.
I have been successful helping a number of people here Because of the various tests and interactive questions and answers ..i will send you my number ..we will discuss a game plan of diag and we will figure it out Do you have a diag tool and if so which one Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
Most likely the symptom not the cause ..low pressure causimg Ediff error I will work in this and have OP our findings Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
