Am I wrong for enjoying Mercedes' misery?? :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
None scoring points so frankly doesn’t matter. Another post for the sake of disliking lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes, it's the home race, but the big picture is what matters. Leclerc kept it on the road and didn't do anything stupid. Max needed to stop the bleeding and so he pushed. We have no idea how far each car was pushing, and I'd wager Red Bull were pushing big. Not a mystery folks.
Wing adjustment is allowed, I believe, as long as no parts changed. In any case, the Ferraris will probably be stronger on the harder tires. I know, because Rosberg said he thinks the Ferrari is still the better car, LOL.
Even Charles needs to study up about the tyres. Charles: "We had a lot of graining. I’ve pushed hard at the start. I didn’t want Max to be within the DRS range but I paid the price at the end. We will study that tonight and be ready for tomorrow!"
Carlos had to work his way through the field. It was no Saturday cruise for him. It is interesting that one tire out of eight had an issue. Maybe without the SC Haas would have done very well by the end on the mediums.
That doesn't matter he is losing in qualify to a new member of the team, and seems completely mellow during the sprint race. I like Lewis but so far terrible season he is having, bad car or not.
Leclerc(Charles) started P2 and had a great start and mostly led the sprint race with Max waiting patiently to make his move.
I’m also a bit pessimistic about the race tomorrow. The Red Bull updates work well according to their statements and it shows. It just shows how great the Ferrari is that it’s still the fastest car when Red Bull have already brought two major updates. Does anybody have access to timing data ? I’d be interest to see if sainz also had tyre issues. It seems that it was specific to Charles which is weird, could it be a bad tyre / set ? I hope that Carlos and Charles can get away 1-3 from the start and manage the race. Maybe I’d put Carlos on mediums to put some tactical pressure on the Red Bulls
Good job by Carlos. I'm liking Bottas more, now. At one point, I wondered if Charles was trying to get the race over before the rain, he was pushing so fast. Wore out his tires. By the end, Charles and Max were over 6 seconds ahead of 3rd place. Credit to Max for taking care of his tires after a poor start. I blame Haas. It was obvious they were counting on taking advantage at the end, when softs were going off. Must have given Max the idea to bide his time.
I think all the softs were going off at the end. Carlos's last passes were on McLarens, who may wear their tires faster than Ferrari. Max took care of his.
Slightly worried by what i saw today. If the race is dry tomorrow Charles will finish behind Perez too..
