What's the best way of doing this? Do you let off the gas slightly when shifting or do you accelarate when shifting?

    Thanks

I recently had a short drive in a Maserati Cambiocorsa Coupe. Like all F1, E-Gear, SMG equipped machines, you can shift without lifting the throttle pedal, but i would not suggest it. You should lift off the throttle a little as if you were shifting with a normal manual transmission. I hear though that BMW is coming out with a modified version of the SMG where you can accelerate when shifting? Is this true?

I lift off the gas slightly as I shift, but when your in the sport mode, they advise you dont need to do this. I dont in sport mode as it shifts faster.

I find that lifting off the throttle tends to lengthen the shifts, so I no longer lift at all and let the computer do all the work.
