Hey Guys, I'm going to do a tranmission flush soon, and I just want to know what kind do you use.
I know the manual says Shell Donax TX.
But what do you guys use?
    Thx

Gear box Oil or F1 pump fluid or?

I tend to think that a suitable Mobil 1 product would be better than Shell.

The dealer would have you use Shell which they will charge 3-4 times as much as a superior Mobil 1 product.

For the F1 we use the Donax TX. It's spec'd for the big Allison industrial transmissions and that's good enough for me. We buy it in 5 gal pails which lasts a long time. My distributor can't get it in anything smaller so I don't know if you can find it otherwise.

For gearboxes we use NEO 75W-90R. It's more than adequate and in fact their 75W-90 is again more than good enough. For the frequency of the change interval a few extra dollars is worth it in insurance.
