I am considering a 2005 Quattroporte listed on Trader.ca ($58.8K) from an unknown used car dealer located in Toronto. The sales person said the car has F1 transmission. My friend told me that the F1 transmission on the first model year (2005) is not the real formula one style. Is this correct?

Also, can I ask the dealer to get a warranty survey from the official dealer?

In addition, the dealer claims the car has 2 year warranty from a thirty party warranty company. Any one has heard of this kind of warranty?

In general, how can I buy a QP like this suitation safely?

It's not a true F1 transmission. It's an automatic with flappy paddles.

I don't know how often you'll want to use semi-auto in a QP, put it in automatic, press the sport button and cruise around.

The 05 came with the real F1 type manual/automatic transmission.
The slush box was not introduced until later ( Maybe 06/07?)

    I stand corrected then.
