Formula 1 must be bold and make a big push to promote itself better - something which includes embracing the Internet and getting drivers closer to the fans - if it is to boost revenues and take its success to a higher level in the next few years. http://bit.ly/cSqgpH

I think there's a lot to be exploited in the area of subscription feeds and so on, provided they get the pricing right. I think you'll see more of that with certain channels in general moving into the future.

    ...¿Que?

Whom would you replace the FIA with, the IRL perhaps?

That said, the Mosley/Cosworth Spec Rules must be repealed or F1 will forever be a travesty of its former glory.

I agree whole heartedly... if youare going to an F-1 race.. its a $1000 weekend... and for that you get a grand stand seat, and maybe a program... that's it...

( my $1000 is tickets, transportation and hotel - more likely a $2k weekend really)

you never get to see the drivers, you cant get close to the cars, you cant really walk the track and see from different vantage points its crazy. why go?

if you go to an ALMS or Le Mans race, its kind of a great mix of old fashioned - get up close and personal, but you can also do the grand stand & hospitality thing, and it does not cost you anywhere near as much.

As for the internet... there is a lot you could do... but Not sure how all that goes together... i htink the the real in life show must be improved.

you want to make some money... sell FIA paddock passes for a USA gp... you'll make Millions... thousands will pay to get up close to the drivers, cars and all the celebs...
promote F-1 in the USA... get Hamilton on Oprah...shove her in a car with him going around the track.... one endorsment from her... F-1 is golden in the states.
