A lot of video clips of F1 passings and crashes ! http://f1.online.free.fr/videos/videos90.htm http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/panton/f1gallery2.htm
The video of Gilles Villeneuve's accident.. very sad to watch.. I'm not a Hakkinen fan but I have to admit when he passed MS at the 2000 Belgian GP that was brilliant! Everyone should take a look at that video. Thanks for the videos!
Have you seen the duel between G Villenueve and R Arnoux in the French GP @ Dijon --> you might find it better.
'one off ' were the 2 crucial words in my sentence The duel between Villeneuve and Arnoux is definetely a great duel and even more spectacular than the duel Schumacher-Hakkinen. I haven't seen all the clips in my link yet, but i doubt the Villeneuve-Arnoux is among them. There was a link somewhere here on Fchat though.
Here is the link to the Villeneuve - Arnoux duel http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=67337541&postcount=20
Does anybody have a link to video footage from the victories of Thierry Boutsen or Jacky Ickx? Boutsen won 3 times; the '89 GP of Canada, the '89 GP of Australia and the '90 GP of Hungary. All in a Williams Renault. Ickx won 8 times; the '68 GP of France, the '69 GP of Germany, the '69 GP of Canada, the '70 GP of Austria, Canada and Mexico, the '71 GP of the Netherlands and the '72 GP of Germany. 6 of his wins were in a Ferrari.
Ok, I may be showing my age here and I don't mean to preach...ok, maybe I do! Anyway - THIS is what racing and overtaking is about! A fair fight, maybe a few bumps, agressive driving. This was pretty much the norm over the years up until the last 10-15. The reason I can tell this is that some of the younger (or newer) fans on this site seem to believe explosions of carbon fiber and punting other drivers off the track equate to some sort of great, highly praised, agressive, driver ability (aka Montoya, Sato, etc.). WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! I have said over and over that throughout the history of F1 there have been some epic battles and unbelievable overtaking maneuvers and they did not touch a wheel!!! Well, what do you know! Who would have thunk it! AND, this video proves my point. Using aggression to make up for lack of ability does not make a great driver! I guess I am old enough to remember the days of quality racing and that is why I am so critical of some of the loose cannons out there today. Listening to Montoya cry about being pushed into the grass after that idiotic overtaking move reminds me of the panty-waist baseball players these days. They get a pitch on the inside of the plate and they immediately want to rush the mound! Just DRIVE the fricken car and show me what you got!!!! And DON'T take out half the field in doing so! If you make a dumba$$ mistake and it bites you, admit you goofed, LEARN from it, put your head down and go on!!!!! AAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!! Thank you, I'm all better now. Jim feelin' old...
i wish i could get videos of just in-car views. when i watch f1 on tv, the in-car view is always my favorite...can't get enough of it
I go to the following sites for videos ... http://www.f1onboard.com --> lot of enthusiasts who post video clips after each race. http://www.farzadsf1gallery.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=91 or http://www.farzadsf1gallery.com/phpBB2/movies.php --> great links here http://f1videos.sites.uol.com.br http://ukf1lad.proboards14.com/ There were lots more but a couple of them were shut down by the FIA.
here is also a link to Topgear and 5th gear http://gear.viper007bond.com/downloads.php Edit: You will need a BitTorrent client to download this file via BitTorrent. Sorry, didn't know this. And to make the link from Pipecrash easier www.gofastvideo.com
