MY ROOM....at the Gruene Mansion! LOL! Seriously though what is the broadcast info on the Montreal race?? I have cable but cannot figure out the directory...... PM if you are 'in 'da hood!" Rodney Crowell tonight at the Hall next door..
Trying to find da race on this big azz flat screen here, with two teenaged girls helping! Looks like the race is on FOX at 1PM Texas time, and a prerace and post race on SPEED..???. Sweet talking the front desk now....to 'overstay' a few hours... The Houston Kid slayed 'em at Gruene Hall last night, hot lead Telecaster on a '58 player from Oz and a CUTE hottie blond on bass, the guitar was about the same height as she was!
Rioting over college tuition, someone needs to kid those kids in the azz..... "F1 is capitolist, and I don't like Capitolism...." Whack that moron, before he has kids.
Wait.....Alan has a mansion at Gruene!?!?!!!! You mean, you could have been earning money from my friends and I each and every summer for 3 days and two nights!!! BTW, I saw you at Discovery Green a couple Thursday's ago. I wasn't able to say hi to you, but as soon as I heard you, I knew that Alan!. HAHAHAH!
Man, sorry I missed you! Yea, been good zydeco with Buckwheat and CJ Chinier, and then Mike Stinson and Two Tons! No, I ended up at the Gruene Mansion Inn in the Master Suite upstairs, both the bedroom and bath tub overlooked Gruene Hall! LOL! NOT for the bashful! Never been in the actual Mansion before, but fun waving at the crowd from the 2nd floor balcony! We saw the early race from the Bar at Gristmill, then they blew my name, calling us for a table ...so we went down to the Taco Bar at the bottom of the hill, to watch the finish. Texas is slowly waking up to understand what "F1" is... Mansion is taking reservations from all over the world!
My cousin invited me to the Dynamo game and we had just finished eating. We had plenty of time, but my cousin seemed ready to go so I didn't want to cause a delay. I knew our convo may run a little bit. lol. The Dynamo Stadium is pretty neat. Still not a soccer fan, but it's a fun time.
A buddy of mine, Tom Faulkner, opened for Rodney recently, and played with him later that night. Tom is on the left. Wish I could have been there. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Rodney had lost his voice the night before, and a Doc has administered steriods. "Doc said they would last one hour and twenty minutes..." They did! It was a fantastic show.......good friends, good company. Rodney came out and said 'hello' to every fan that waited, even after the meds....a class act.
He had toured previously supporting his biography "Chinaberry Sidewalks", (a great read) he signed his poster that night to me: "Stay Proud, and OUT of jail"......
