F1 Wants Las Vegas to Pay Fees …….

    Let's try comparing apples to apples. Of course the hotels and rental cars are not sold out in Vegas on Super Bowl or March Madness weekends. Why? Because they are NOT held in Las Vegas.

    Now, on to a more cogent element of all this: Liberty/F1 just stated that, in preparing for this race, they will spend up to $400 MILLION! That includes the cost of the pit/paddock complex (they say it can be used for more civic events when the race isn't there) along with serious rebuilding of portions of the track to meet the demands of these new vacuum-cleaner cars. They also have to make accommodations to allow customer entry and exit routes for hotel/casinos along the route. Having seen too many of the "greatest Vegas things," I'll give this whole program may be two to three years at most.
