    Just curious why DFW always have these and we do not? Has it been attempted with no success or is it just a real PIA? Forget about the 2am early season nonsense but the late morning or early afternoon races would be doable imo.

    Thoughts?

    Just never got traction, Gregg.....maybe the FCA does not post the gatherings?

    It would be great at Brick House on 290 at Pinemont.

    Or, the new Cottonwood over on Shepherd at West 34th is a great spot also.
    We had an Art Car party there, last Thursday!

    We really only got started with this in Dallas last season. (we did it only sporadically previous to 2013)

    One essential item is to find the right venue - they have to have good video and a room which is quiet enough to hear the race.

    For the races which come on at 2:00 AM, we usually record a DVD and have the club play it at a reasonable time.

    This has been really successful in Dallas - it is well attended and is one of our favorite club activities. Hope that continues this year with the new rules and Ferrari Team being down in the dumps.

    Those are good choices BigTex although my preference would be more private such as someone who has a media room and can select specific races ie "I will be watching the race anyway and welcome company". This is just an after thought any way so feedback on the idea and feasibility is a fishing excursion, chumming the waters.
