Im looking for some used F12's and 458's to buy on mobile.de
And I found some amazing spec ones (low millage and good price), unfortunately they don't have lift-system. Is that a problem in Central Europe? Am I going to scrape the bumper's every pothole?

How often do you guys use your "LIFT"?

It's a must if you ask me. Biggest mistake I ever made was to not order it on my F12
I use/d it all the time on my FF and now GTC4L - for the amount of money we pay the option should be on the standard features list!

Very nice to have, but keep in mind you won't be using it really to deal with potholes. Its operation is slower and you have to be moving slowly or at a complete stop. Its more for parking lots, driveways, places with more extreme angles. It depends where I am going, but on average I would say I use mine (up + down) about ½ the time I take the car out. For example, my local bank has a steep drive way in and out. With the lift this is no problem at all, I can even drive straight in and then out (its actually a different drive way for out and it has a similar steepness!). I would recommend the lift.

I have a 458 Speciale without lift and am living in Central Europe. Travelling to Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and Austria (debatable if it is in Central Europe) and never had any problem. Two other friends owns 458 Speciale (with no lift option) and have no problem to report - we drove all together 25.000 km. In my opinion it is not needed, but it is good to have.

I have on mine the lifting system and use it only in some circumstances. For instance yesterday I went for a drive and parked in a garage that has very steep ramps and there, when exiting the ramps, I always use it. On the other hand I often drive through a residential area that has many bumps on the road to slow you down but, in this case, may be because of the way the bumps are built, I don't need to use the lifting system.

Dunno why Ferrari still has this as an option. This should be standard.

Added weight might not be wished though.

Because enough people will pay. Similar to why a seat lifter with a manual ratchet costs almost $2k on a $8k upgraded racing seat in the f12. We are all suckers.

There is more front nose overhang with an F12....less clearance than a 458.

I was reading the other day that 458 shock absorbers are sometimes leaking when equipped with the lift system. One member of FerrariChat is waiting for shock absorbers not kept in stock at FNA or in Maranello. I am not sure how this works, but it is also worth to consider if it is true.
