$4800 for spark plug change? Is there really that much labor involved in changing the plugs on these cars? If plugs are ~$500 and shop charges $250/hr... that's around 17 hours of labor!

$600 for oil change. I swap mine to 5w40/0w40 instead of the 10w-60.
Current oil pressure at 70+ psi so I certainly don't want to go even higher than that.

If you DIY then you need to spend about $100 on the filter and maybe ~$200 on the oil if you opt in for 10w60.

I recommend you do belt too, so that's another $30 in parts.
Air filters are $200 per pair.

If you do Tranny, which I recommend to do it at reputable shop, it's around $1k. If you DIY the fluid is approx $300 but then you need to ensure you have the pump tool and also make sure to not overfill or underfill or else your tranny will be toasted for $13-40k a rebuilt cost.

Interesting considering spark plugs dont age. They wear out from mileage. 12k miles is a very short life for modern spark plugs.

My 2012 Maserati GranTurismo, I've had it since it was new, 32K miles on it now. It has a Ferrari engine. They all do. Maintenance is every 24 months at about $1,500 each time. Hoses, belts, oil change, etc. Just got a Ferrari 812 last week. I think it will cost more, a lot more, and a lot more often than the Maserati. Why is that?

The issues are with the springs. They are made of steel that rusts. It happens when you place in place a cold drink and the condensation get on them, corroding them ...then they pop.
