Yes, I have seen one in person on a 458 here in Miami and don't really like it.
Too Dub/blingy for my tastes. Let me clarify the "cheap" part of my post. I don't mean
the workmanship or materials, just how it looks on such an expensive car, just doesn't
do it for me. The same goes when too much carbon fiber is used in interiors & exteriors.
More often than not, less is more.

You said its missing the historic connection. What connection is that? The stick shift? Non synchro mesh gear box?

I think you just have your own subjective opinions and you're entitled to that. But I also think the owner of this car is entitled to his.

It's actually not my style either, but I appreciate it.

that's so funny you say this , usualy Dubai/blingy is loud colors such as yellow and red, aka the yellow shield that screams I am driving a Ferrari

in my world being subtle is not blingy but again you are entitled to your opinion

First of all, everyone needs to chill. No one said no one's entitled to their opinions. If you come on here and ask what do you think of this or that, then you get opinions. The historical connection I'm refering to is in fact the yellow background, black stallion, and Italian tri-colors of the shield that's been around since day one.
I also, for the most part don't like original cars being modded. But like everything there's always exceptions.

funny enough this thread has nothing to do with "what do you think of this shield" it simply asked if the carbon fiber shield is available for the F12 and if the 458 or cali badge will work on the F12

You must have misunderstood me. Your point is exactly what I was saying to you. Who's to say what is right or wrong. Some would say shields don't belong on road cars. Yet now the factory sells them. And now the factory sells these CF shields. It might offend your sensibilities or it might just not be your style but I think the customer is always right.
