...at ferrari.com,not the mini site available previously!
What I don't understand is: 1) Why the standard seats are the best looking choice 2) Why there are not more than one style of wheels to choose from 3) Why there is no racing seat option -- seems like a no brainer to pull it from the 458. 4) Why there is a bi-color option for the mirrors but not a bi-color option for the roof. Some things I really like in this car are the two tone interior and the CF rear defuser. The interior of this car is really cool. There are some bugs in this configurator. It loses information when you switch around.
Indeed. I wonder if there's a way to report these bugs. It's been nagging me for a while (especially as wasting time in a configurator is a lot of fun, unless the time being wasted doesn't "stick").
Even though it's taken AGES to get that site released, there are still so many faults and bugs! Someone over at the web-department take an extra long easter-break??? Complete catalog of rims is missing. I don't have the brochure or price list at hand now, but from what I can remember at least 2 sets of rims are missing, amongst those displayed at Geneva (I could be wrong here though...) Colors are missing, the entire "Special Color"-section is nowhere to be seen. (F12 has a set of special colors similar to the FF's, a few silvers which look quite cool etc.) As usual all the fun gizmo's and gadgets are missing, but there is so much lacking from the interior selection and optional equipment! Carpets, leather sections, full CF (including driver zone, you can't have a CF wheel and driver zone in the config). Parking sensors, cameras, bags. Boy I really hope someone fixes all this. What still surprises me his how below-par F still is compared to it's competitors when it comes to the configurators, especially the colors are so far off real life it's annoying. Compare it with the Maserati-configurator (Part of the Fiat group too). Colors and interiors are spot on, and it has prices! Porsche has become a lot better, Bugatti etc. I know a lot of you will say "Oh if it's so important go to your dealer atelier and have them build you a car". Well, having to sit around an use a calculator with the price lists is boring, and I can't go to the dealer just to visualize a car every time. The Ferrari-website is otherwise so good, I just don't understand why their configurator is so bad.
Agreed. It does look pretty slick, though, Ferrari's configurator, compared to others... I just wished it worked reliably and had all the available options (as expected). Took a while for the 599 GTO configurator to work properly, but until they pulled it a few months ago, it was finally working right. Wish I knew who to reach out to at Ferrari to give them my bug reports (all of which, so far, consistently repro).
None of the previous configurators are removed, all the car-pages back to the F430 still have them. Just go to "past models" and select your car. You could try Twitter or Facebook? I know they at least have an office for the press and media, but not faq or feedback... I personally don't understand why they didn't just use Maserati's software, that configurator must have been there for over 5 years (Ferrari introduced it in '09) and is so much better than the Ferrari one. It's more stable and works better in various browsers too.
Oh! Wow. I didn't realize that they left the configurators up! That's awesome. Thanks for the heads up on that -- will check them out now.
