F12 hood latch broken

I have a 2013 F12 and the hood won't pop open when you pull on the release cable under the steering wheel. While I can hear something moving at the latch, there is no pressure on the lever. This model also does not seem to have a emergency release lever either. The dealer advised me to take off the grill, but that takes 22 screws and 16 of those can't be accessed easily. It looks like the entire front of the car will have to be disassembled. Any ideas?
