I had the pleasure of a private viewing of the new F12 at our Ferrari dealer yesterday. The car is being readied for a grand unveiling on Thursday after New Years. We arrived at the dealership at 10am on Saturday and were escorted into the shop area where we helped remove the car cover from the most beautiful F car I have ever seen. The car was presented n a deep red over black interior with Daytonas with deep red inserts and matching seat belts, and matching carpet. There was very little carbon fiber except in the engine bay area. The interior was very comfortable and refined. The exterior is amazing with pictures not dong the actual cars appearance justice. The car is a bit smaller then it appears in pictures. The lines of the car are simply amazing. This F12 was a European spec.

We were invited to sit in the car and fire up the engine. As I settled into the drivers seat our host suggested I lower the drivers side window before pressing the start button, I'm glad I did, the sound emitted from the start of the engine was amazing, a high pitch whine similar to a F1 car followed by a loud growl. I pressed the accelerator several times to hear the engine sound, amazing engine response. This car is going to set the high performance automotive world on its ear, Ferrari has done it again!

After playing with the car for more than an hour we retired to the conference room and spent the next hour building a new F12 on the configurator! I highly recommend to get to your Ferrari dealer when they have their grand unveiling of the F12, you won't be disappointed!

Joe you got to spend over an hour with the F12 and no pictures??? Just kidding...
That spec sounds very nice, especially for the black interior combined with the red on the carpet, belts and the insert trim on Daytona seats. Even better would be the Ferrari race seats done with the Daytona trim.
Ferrari showed something similar to what you saw on an F12 but also with the centre trim panel on the door done with the deep red accent color to. One other unique feature was silver trim on the dash with an 'engine turned' aluminum look to it. This special look aluminum was also used on the round dash vents. F12 is certainly special; have you decided on a spec?

One thing I loved about the 599 was how big and massive the front end was giving it real street presence.

Did the F12 have the same type of front end presence or does it "look" much smaller?

Although it's smaller, it has a very imposing look. Size difference is really only noticeable in a side to side comparison.

The front of the F12 does not appear as massive as the 599 when you see the car in person. The front fascia of the F12 appears slightly smaller and more aerodynamic. You will also notice a huge difference when the car is started, the F12 is a higher pitch whine a la F1 and the 599 is more of a low growl/rumble. I loved the F12!

That's a pity it was my fav feature of the 599. Hopefully it still has the same type of road presence in its own respect.

No offense but the California does not have much street presence and almost looks a bit like a Lexus convertible if you miss the Prancing horse logo. I hope the F12 will not follow the foot steps of the California
