Just finalizing my interior. It will be black and it will have all cf options other than door panels and rear bench as I am opting for the cd reader and can't do CF bench with that option.

Code - DAAL - Leather and Alcantara Interior Trim:

What is done in alcantara and what is done in leather with this option ?

Is this the preferred option vs all leather ?

If you only do standard leather interior, what is the roof liner done with (not opting for leather, alcantara ect) ?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Your dealer should have given you the "Personalization Programme" PDF. Towards the end of that document, there are a few diagrams that show exactly the information you are looking for. See attachment.

Thanks Duffy. I didn't realize that even the standard interior includes some alcantara...like the roof liner and in the rear boot for example.

IMO, for me, there is only one rule. Don't do the lower dash in alcantara. It cheapens the look of the interior and reminds me of a African-American pimp mobile of the 1970's.

Fuzzy dashboards are so out of style!

With extra wide Bianco stitching yellow tach and Bianco stitched horses. The rear shelf is Alcantara as well as the headliner. I only added a rear shelf cover in Alcantara for a nominal charge, and now have a leather Alcantara interior, but the primary areas, seats doors, are leather, a more tailored look in my opinion. MAke certain at all costs that the rear shelf option is excersised. The cloth cover provided looks out of place, as there are no like materials used in the cabin.

Thanks for that. I will add alcantara for the rear shelf. We are talking code SHF5 for alacantara rear shelf correct ?
They call the standard fabric, Apollo Fabric.

Do the roofliner, apillars, shelf and trunk in Alcantara. Everything else leather. Also ask the dealer for alcantara carpets I believe its a special option but the stock carpets are just so cheap feeling.

I asked about the alcantara in place of carpets and was informed they are very impractical if you use your car...have passengers. The roof liner is alcantara for the standard interior and the pillar area's leather. I am happy with that. You can really spend a lot on the interior. I opted to spend that money on the exterior CF. My build now has every CF option inside and out. The only area's I didn't do CF are the rear bench which I can't do since I want the cd rom reader and the door panels...since I prefer leather there.

Christian get Alcantara mats from exoticare, they made a great set for my F12 with accents in yellow to match the seatbelts, and you still have the original carpets :):)

I have Alcantara carpeting in my 458 which has more visible carpet than the F12 and it gives the cabin a way more luxurious feel. Alcantara is synthetic it's quite easy to clean and more robust than the leather. I just don't like the cheap stock carpets they use for a car of this caliber.

Do not fully agree, in the right spec. it can be very nice. Although I quess bright colors, red for instance, can have the effect you've mentioned.

Lovely interior! I used to believe in hard and fast rules. I've come to appreciate that you can always find a worthy exception so now I just tend to go with rules of thumb.
