You will love it even more over time. Amazed at how much the F12 keeps it lively. Best auto purchase for me.

To answer the original poster’s question… Is it the right time to buy? No.

I purchased my 2013 F12 with 5,000 miles and $400K sticker for $195,000 in January of 2020. I then paid additionally for CPO and warranty. Clean car fax/ very nice car- no paint issue etc.

That was clearly a better time to buy.

Then Covid hit and prices increased. Will we see pre-covid pricing again? Hard to know and cars are usually depreciating assets.

Also plan on spending $15K or so to fix the sticky bits if not already corrected. Mine were fine 7 years in- and at 10 years they melted.

2020 man everything was cheap, not sure that’s a good reference data point.

looking at the market now only a F12 that was on an accident or with very high miles can be had for $190,000. Asking prices generally are at the $240,000 to $315,00 range at this point with cars with a decent spec and low mileage moving to sale fairly quickly. Most of the cars I was looking at in October and November have since sold.

Speaking from my perspective, I intent on keeping my F12 for many years and I think it will appreciate like most amazing cars. In the meantime the market price is just the barrier to entry to own one of the very best GT cars ever made and the last Pininfarina design Ferrari

For a while I was mad at Ferrari for stoping to work with Pininfarina but I recently saw that in 2015 it was bought out by an Indian company so I don’t blame them for wanting to keep Italian design. But seriously nothing built afterwards compares to the lines of the F12 one of the most beautiful modern Ferraris

‘Spot on and look at BAT historical trends which is the market, and I’ve missed out on cars good specs going back and forth. Look at the 30 or so for sale, good specs are being scooped up. Market is 65% to 70% of MSRP for good specs low miles and years.

Case in point, an F12 with the options and color I love was for sale at my local Ferrari dealer - Miller Motorcars - I made an appointment to see it the next day after it went online by the time I got there, it was sold. They called me to let me know they had just took in another one in even better condition that was not online yet - I went there immediately to look at it and told them I would give them a decision in the morning - guess what it was sold and they have not had another in stock since - all they have it the SF90 and 296 in stock now

When I found one in Texas that was low miles and had the options I liked, I bought it the same day, and I have no regrets whatsoever.

I should have bought the one that was listed on the Dupont registry that was offered by a private seller with FULL Carbon and all sticky buttons fixed - it was $279,000 and worth every penny - Now I have a few sticky buttons; I am in the process of fixing but paid $30,000 less

The point is- that was normal. Will we have normal again? These are the regular production models. Buy to enjoy, not to invest. IMO

I don’t own a car for an investment, and I see all cars as 100% enjoyment as sunk cost. I wouldn’t own half of my cars if I waited for the optimal buy periods. I just drive to enjoy man ……2020 was a very weird time I purchased my 2019 Speedster at MSRP because the dealer couldn’t flip, and well above MSRP which is not material as I will die with keys in hand. My F12 was a 460k spec and was perfect for me and I will not sell that either, some cars just catch your eye and you know it’s a keeper. Good deal on your car at 50% of MSRP.

Great sentiment. I agree drive to enjoy. But I personally would never own a Bentley for example as they depreciate like submarines. When owning Porsche and Ferrari you can be the cars steward for many years and recover most of your original investment. Part of the brands appeal to me

There are only 36x F12B on Autotrader (vice 107x 812GTS for reference) and prices look stout. They are only going to increase in mileage and get more competitive.

812 GTS’s are likely to depreciate from here. Regardless, I wouldn’t expect F12’s to appreciate either.

Ignoring financial issues- The best time to buy any Ferrari is always now. They are always an event.

Thank you! Ya, i like different than the norm too!
I finally got it fully checked at the local F dealer and they printed the window sticker off for me…just over $406k sticker! I guess all of the special leather color / interior stuff really added up!
