    I am considering a car with factory matte paint, but worried what this means as far as care, washing car etc etc, I would be changing my current Ferrari which I use often and or daily so don't want headaches just because it looks cool:)
    Anyone own a car with this type of paint?

    I think there have been a few threads on this topic. Search matte, opaco and aluminium for previous discussions. But there maybe new owners willing to chime in.

    I have and have had matt paint... If you use it alot unless you clear bra it all it is a headache because even a small stone chip will cause a major repaint!

    FYI I believe there is now clear film with matte finish so you can preserve the look whilst enjoying the benefit of film protection.

    What's the spec on the car you are looking at?

    Thanks! I just looked and they don't have pictures up yet. I bet it is very exciting in person. I don't think I've seen matte black before.

    That is so. I haven't had it done on any Ferraris but had a full wrap in it done on an orange 911 GT3 RS, and it does a pretty good job of giving you the matte look while remaining relatively easy to live with. And esp with Ferrari special paint pricing it's likely to be quite cost effective.
