Hi All, I am considering a 14' F12. Low Miles. The warranty is about to expire, and they are offering a 2yr extension for approx. 13k... Everything I have heard is that these cars are rock solid, and it would be a waste of money...Wont lose sleep either way, but wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with any large repair bills or issues on their F12... Many Thanks
Till now my F12 is relatively solid. The mileage is nearly 32.000 Km with driving in every condition and a lot high speeds on German Autobahn. Works done under warranty: Turn signal indicators malfunction and a simple reset of the cars ECU due to a black out of the passenger display. The original FIAMM battery is garbage. They replaced mine a year ago and it's already gone, so I'll go with a high quality aftermarket battery. Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
What battery did you guys buy/install? Did the dealer install the aftermarket one for you? I desperately need to change mine. I need to figure out whats a good quality replacement and who should do it for me without charging a fortune.
I just purchased the 2 yr extesnion for my 14 about to hit 9Kmi, only issue I've had so far is coolant smell coming from the passenger side while the cars in heatsoak
Thanks all...sounds like none of these issues would be to bad of a hit, seems like it might be better to hold off on the extended warranty and self insure...Much appreciated!
Just did the 2yrs extension. At least it will better sellability of the car and maybe add to the price when I want to flip it. As engine runs a lot above 7 and 8.000 rpm I find the service intervalls and the scope of the 'free' service ridiculous for an almost race engine. But also not yet heard of a blown F12 engine. Fingers crossed.
I also have a marginal battery. I'll start a separate thread on F12 battery replacements and lets see who chimes in. My best experiences have been with Interstate and Optims on other high performance cars but lets see what the experts on the forum have to say. Cincy
