I fear Ferrari has canceled the beautiful mutlispoke wheels shown on the F12 displayed at Beijing motor show...

    I ask because

    - They are not featured on the configurator

    - All new Pictures and videos emerging on the web show Cars fitted with the regular wheels...

    Infos ?

It would be bad I think since the multispokes one are absolutely beautiful IMO and look far better than the others...

The wheel I think can be ordered, was at the dealer on Sat and saw that option was availible on the configurator program they were using.

I love the look of these wheels!
IMO there is nothing to compare - at the moment.

Can't belive that Ferrari canceled these wheels, if so just have a look at BBS Fi :)

To me, the wheels on the silver car look much better.

For me they are simply the best looking stock ferrari wheels.

As for right now you might be right. I also like the split spoke wheels that are optional on the 430/Spider. They are very rare also. The only thing that Ferrari has not been so hot on recently is their wheels IMO. These though are MUCH better.

The wheels on the red F12 are not BBS FI as pictured above. Clearly a -very nice- variation. Looking in detail, even the 599 GTO wheels are a tad different to those BBS FI, though nearly exact.

I like those alternative wheels for the F12 a lot. I hope they become an easily available option.

I still don't think it suits the overall look of the F12 well. Sorry.

The BBS F1 design looks very nice and visually better than the factory option. I wonder if it is engineered stronger than the Ferrari wheels and can withstand the usual abuse from railroad crossing and pot holes?

These BBS are forged and are very strong. Of course low profile tires plus potholes or rail road tracks can produce some unhappy results no matter how strong the wheels.

Many of the European marques use cast wheels because it allows softer and more intricate details. Also I think it has to do with aerospace experience and we have more of that- though I think recently they have developed good experience too.

Not sure if these new wheels from Ferrari are forged, I suspect cast; but I think Ferrari really got the look right with both sets of wheels on the F12. Both look great. I think I'd choose one or the other depending on the color of the car.

Those optional wheels look a lot like the latest Novitec wheels, which IMHO actually look better

They are forged and far superior to any cast wheel the factory would pump out. But like a poster before me said, unless you drive with caution over rough roads with such wheels and low profile tires, nothing will save you.

Also if you have a strong impact and the wheel does not give, then something else will.

When Ferrari launch a new model they often do not offer all options immediately. Having been at the Atelier at the factory specifying an F12, I can confirm they do propose to offer the wheels as well as other future options. I think they may be having manufacturing issues as all UK Spiders, mine included, came with stock wheels despite all ordering the 5 spoke design. I am still waiting for my 5 spoke rims.

The 599 GTO uses the FIs. Ferrari has used BBS for the Challenge Stradale too.

Nope. They're BBS but not exactly FI, just look again, they're a tad different. Analoguely, the CS wheels were BBS but not exactly the CH model, though very similar.

Yes, I remember now, User M-individual ordered his GTO with black rims and took delivery with the strandard Grey rims. He had to wait before getting the black ones.
