Hi all, I've been reading a lot this forum and I learned a lot. Thank you ! It is very helpful. 2 weeks ago I part exchanged a 2009 California and collected a 2013 LHD black F12. It's an amazing car. Crazy car. I'm thinking about installing an aftermarket exhaust and I contacted BRE. Do any of you installed their system ? Also, I'm thinking about putting a full paint protection film coverage. I'm in contact with DUB customs. Is there any F12 London owners here ? Hubert Image Unavailable, Please Login
After market exhaust why ? The standard exhaust with the Capristo remote control switch let's you open the valves to have a sonority that reminds the formula 1's of the eighties. The protection film is a must and can avoid a repaint job if you are unlucky as I was. Not very long ago in my garage I bumped hard my F12 front side near the left headlight with the rear side of one of my other cars that is an SUV. I ripped the F12 cover and couldn't believe the damage I've caused so took the car to my detailer fearing the worst. The damaged areas were wrapped with XPEL film and after was removed to my surprise the paint was undamaged and in perfect condition. They put a new film again on the damaged areas and now I can say it saved me a very expensive and difficult repaint job.
Hi Mdel, Thanks for your feedback. I dont know about the Capristo remote.. what is it ? Yes, if the valves could be opened earlier it would make the sound much better.. and then no need to replace the stock ones. Regarding the XPEL film, how much does it usually cost to have a full one ?
I have the capristo remote on my F12 and it consists of a remote control which enables to open and close the exhaust valves at will. That’s not a very expensive feature and I’m sure there are in London installers. Where I live in Portugal the almost full wrap which was done to my F12 costed around 4000 €. (Everything is wrapped except the doors top section)
