Mark you are absolutely right in my opinion. Lets face it, if you have a high demand item, there will always be those willing to pay more to have it now.

The only reliable constraint on individual selfishness is not any moral code, but freedom of choice: the ability of the other party to the deal to walk away. That's what you get in a free market. Don't like the price the dealer is charging? Walk away. If most agree, pretty soon he'll be charging a different price or selling a more suitable product. If they don't, they have their own reasons for being willing to pay that price. Are they therefore "stupid"? Unlikely. "There are no irrational people, only reasons I don't know about yet."

Don't have to believe in magical overseer to understand why a free market performs better than any other system in allocating scarce goods and creating wealth. You only have to believe that individuals act in their own self-interest. Everything else follows from that -- including the inevitable inferiority of any system based on centrally enforced rules of commercial behavior, no matter how "enlightened," and whether or not derived from notions of "morality" or "fairness."

Wow that's an expensive car. Unless you just don't care about the money, I wouldn't spend $500K on one of these if planning to keep it any decent length of time.

For that kind of money, I'd say look for a GTO. Not that I think the GTO is worth $500K either, but at least it will hold value a lot better and still be comparably sweet.

$500K on a standard Ferrari F12 is asking for $50K/year in depreciation easily.

Prices are crazy these days :/

If you do have the extra dough and don't look at a car as an investment I think any car is worth the price tag, as long as it is something you love. You wont regret it.

Honestly F(12) it :) If you have the money, go for it. You aren't gonna be buried with your bank account. It's for the memories!

There's a Euphoria on these darn things IMO it wont last another 18 months.
Then depreciation will hit like a cliff first then settle down to your number of 50k a year

I just paid $50k over sticker for a 2013 with 500 miles on it. I am very happy. This is an astounding car!
