I'm getting ready to complete an F12 order and I think I'm ready to finalize it. I'd like to share my specs and welcome your thoughts: Grigio Titanio Scuderia shields 20" silver forged sport wheel rims Black calipers Interior full cuoio leather including dash, steering, headliner and rear shelf Cuoio carpet Daytona seats, full electric Grigio scuro special stitching and cavallino Grigio seat belts LEDS steering wheel Yellow rev Rear camera Regards
Great Specs! F12 looks good in every single color...and Grigio Titanio matchs perfect. Congratulations.
Sounds great...my only tweak might be to keep the upper dash and steering wheel (and maybe carpets) in Nero...just seems more in keeping with the raw performance edge of an F12. In the end, my opinion doesn't matter...go with what feels right to you!
I agree with that as well, but figured color is so subjective... personally i like the F12 in metallic red, white, or black. But to each their own.
Looks great just one comment. Having a dash in non black will create a lot of reflection in the sun. Just so you are aware.
Thank you for all the comments. I did think about keeping the dash and steering wheel black but after a lot of fiddling with the dealer configurator, I felt the full cuoio interior was more uniform and rich. I think a black dash looks better with a black headliner and I wanted a lighter feel interior. Personal taste I suppose. I have a full black interior in my 458 so I wanted the F12 different as well. Beautiful interior .. I know one thing I'd want on mine (if I was buying) is the passenger speedo. Then again, depending on your passengers (Wife) maybe not!
congrats. the car is PHENOMENAL... you asked... 1) I would do upper dash in black, or at least consider it. The windshield rake is steep, you will get glare. Only do it if you are going to LIKE it. 2) If you are doing the CF LED wheel, I would consider going one of two ways - 1) do the entire dash with CF - the CF and aluminum sort of don't go together or 2) get the wheel in full leather with the LEDS (you can do that, Extra Campionario). That assumes you do not like the CF+Aluminum mix. We kept the aluminum center bridge but did the rest in CF. Pricey, yes. 3) in our short ownership time, the parking sensors have paid for themselves. honestly might have considered the front camera too - the spoiler is low and sticks out a lot! be careful near curbs... 4) this is definitely optional, but the standard Ferrari carpet seems cheap compared to the rest of the materials. we opted for Alcantara wherever there was carpet, makes a big different in the "feel and finish". I say optional b/c it's an extra cost...but it's very nice.
Great advise 1-3! Alcantara in the place of carpet IMO however doesn't last long if you actually use your car.
Gorgeous car. Great colors. But the steering wheel has got to be black. In the end, buy what you like!
Maybe I'm just old school (or maybe just old), but to me the LED's on the steering wheel are just a distraction. I have them in my 599, but I never use them - I just use the tachometer. Maybe if they went from green to yellow to red I'd find them more useful.
+a bunch (since he asked). For some reason, full colored interiors don't sell well/quickly at resale. For my eye, I don't like colored steering wheels and having some black actually serves to highlight the cuio rather than have it wash out the entire interior. I have one gray/tan car that has all tan inside and its too much. OTOH, I have a car with cuio seats and some door leather and the rest black and it sings! OP - you got a lot of comments that many of us would mix in some black, especially the steering wheel and dash. Also, we all said "its your car, do what works for you". Your responses indicate you agree with the latter. Glad you asked us anyways
I'm thankful for all the opinions. It's great to have as much input as possible. My dealer is offering roughly $6000 worth of complimentary additional options How would y'all spend it???
That alcantara carpet sounds nice! Or a piece of carbon somewhere? Luggage? (only since its a "gift" from the dealer) All we ask is that you post pics when it arrives!
you know we thought that too, but have had alcantara floor mats on a few cars now and it holds up pretty well. We DO drive our cars, and the kids too. We had a set of custom alcantara mats made that are very cool - if/when they get worn, we can replace. However, the rest of the carpeted areas (which our feet don't touch) look much more classy with the alcantara. It's clearly a "pure luxury" item. good for the OP - get a lot of opinions but in the end, make it yours!
I ordered white tach, and like that. It is very visible in daylight. Also, I choose the polished forged wheel. Most of it is grey with only the edges polished metal. I'd suggest consideration of red calipers as well, as someone else mentioned. Yellow calipers with the silvery exterior color will really stand out, and take one's eye off the wheel. For me, making such decisions are very difficult. I need to see the real product to decide, and if that is available, I can decide very quickly. Using my imagination, pictures and drawings makes it much more difficult for me to make decisions. I have cuoio interior with black dash, steering wheel and carpets, and in certain light (usually cloudier weather for some reason) even the black dash reflects on the windshield, but it is not problematic. In sunlight, I don't notice reflection. Good negotiating to get the $6K options. You could do tri-color stitched steering wheel. I did diamond stitching on the leather shelf as well.
