I am sensing that the F12 Production Numbers are very low. I live in South Florida and have yet to see one on the road. The dealers tell me they are only receiving 1-2 per month and that this is the lowest allocation Ferrari they have seen in some time. Does anyone have production estimates from other parts of the country?
I have no idea in the US,sorry. At least in my country there are 4 of them since May. ( 1 per month aprox.)
So just as a guess four F12's per day with say two per day going to the US which equates to 40 per month. Does that sound right?
So 40 per month equals a little over one per month per dealer. Which makes the F12 the lowest production volume in some time and obviously very rare.
In Europe it was a very slow start of deliveries last fall and suddenly starting from March/April they started to arrive in droves, in fact there were more F12s delivered to Switzerland and Germany in 1H than 458s. Now they're everywhere and prices for used ones came down quite a bit. Guess the same with US deliveries, major chunk of cars will arrive next year.
Spoke to a U.S. dealer today and he said they have an allocation of 6 F12's for 2014. As Ferrari mentioned they are really cutting production...
I spoke to my dealer today as I was very curious on the idea of Ferrari limiting production numbers, and he told me that the F12 allocation numbers are basically the exact same as they were for the 599. They expect the same thing on pricing, the F12 will bring a premium this year and next, then fall below sticker just like the 599 did. He loves the car, said it was a huge upgrade and a blast to drive.
I have to disagree. When the 599 came out their were tons selling over sticker right out of the gate. Now their is only one on eBay for sale and dealers have only received very few, while Ferrari has made it clear that production will decrease to keep the brand exclusive and to keep the resale market strong. The F12 has been out since May and I know of 9 deliveries in all of south Florida. No way it's being built on the same volume of the 599.
I guess I'm not sure, its just what this dealer told me. He said they have delivered 2 so far, and will deliver 3 more by the end of the year. In the second year of production of the F12 they expect to get the same amount of allocations they got for the 599, he did say that nothing is set in stone, but its just what he has been told. Again, I'm not saying I know for sure, I just asked my dealer and this is what he told me. This summer I was in another dealership and they were prepping their first F12 for delivery, and the salesman told me that the car would sell over sticker for a year or 2 and then the price will drop just like the 599 did. But I guess who knows, only time will tell.
maybe they are too busy producing engines for Maserati? Maserati sold this year already 22500 cars, so people in Ferrari have a lot of engines to build
