thanks.
My vote is for a combo F12/FF forum, as this would a) represent the new generation V12's and b) be consistent with the prior 599/612 forum.
I see you didn't learn your lesson from the two month ban. Take a hint, leave the trolling on the playground. We are not amused with your behavior.
The 4 seater GT's are a market segment and should be kept together (612 & FF). The 2 Seater GT's represent another market and should be kept together (599 & F12). This provides the forum better organization around talking points and thread starters. I cannot see a relationship between the FF and F12 simply because they have 12 cylinders. The 599 and F12 together satisfy the same criteria without giving a tie-braker to the gearbox.
I agree that this makes sense as well, but it might be a bit of a house cleaning nightmare to separate the various threads in the 599/612 forum.
The forums have been organized by platform not market. The F12b has more mechanically in common with the FF than the 599. As platforms age this is a better organization for an online forum as owners can start parts sharing threads in the same sections as the cars who share them.
perfect 50-50 split right now! oh no, this one will go to wire. everyone keep your opinions respectful, which you have so far. if it ends up 50-50 it is possible to give F12 its own forum like FF for awhile, wait for things to shake out. FerrariChat.com is big enough anyway we can consider single subforums for each model.
Same, it should be normal base on the generation, the engine, the design,... No more link to the 599/575/550 excepting that it is the new v12.
I can appreciate that but there is the Technical Q&A sections as the mechanism for this. I would imagine the thread in the year 2030 about where to find a cylinder head for an FF will be in the section of FF's. I don't see F12 owners and FF owners talking about parts as part of the platform. I'd rather a section foster communication among market segments (past, present & what's coming) rather than which platform uses which parts. Just thinking out loud, I could be wrong.
