Oh wow! Congrats, looks great, what's the full spec? Looks new, is it? Makes me crave for mine even more! What made you change your mind re the FF?
2014, 3 owners, 6k miles, grigio ferro metallic, nero leather/grigio scuro alcantara, daytona seats, carbon fibre rear diffuser, front spoiler, rear bench, driver zone, dash, central bridge etc, afs, lift, shields, dual view front camera, passenger display, leather parcel shelf - can't wait should be mega. the FF went because i need to consolidate the fleet a little and i've always wanted an F12, for the sheer insanity of it and because no doubt it's a better 'drivers' car than the bigger FF - also i think it will be a more sensible place to have money tied up in over the next two years prior to delivery of the 812sf. that's the logic, that together with the Maranello teams sales skills of course ! pick it up on Friday then down to Goodwood members meeting for the weekend - let's hope i don't get it stuck in a muddy car park.
Its a lovely spec, in fact very high spec indeed, tons of carbon inside and out. My interior is very similar apart from my Alcantara is black and I don't have the Carbon Central ridge or Passenger Display. We seem to have a similar outlook re the FF 812 etc. Hope the weather holds for Goodwood and more pics please. One more thing. Is your car paint protection wrapped? I'm thinking of having mine done, whole front only, just interested to know what might be done to yours?
I keep a close eye on the classifieds for F12 and don't think you car was advertised, or if it was not for very long? Goes to show you that a good spec F12b is still highly desirable even with a replacement model now in the public domain.
thanks, yes. we both have brilliant taste ! I've never had a car fitted with 'paint protection film' but after seeing how many stone chips the FF picked up in 12 months of use, on the front bumper especially, decided to get it done on F12. it's being applied by Topaz who Maranello use. hopefully it shouldn't be too noticeable. cost circa £1850 for bonnet, bumper, mirrors, wings. seems reasonable.
Justin I can confirm that desirability with my own case because I've searched at least 8 months almost on a daily basis for a F12 Grigio with specs and interior that fulfilled my eye . Most of adverts that appeared with what I wanted, when I contacted the cars have been already reserved or sold. But the perseverance paid off and finally I popped on my Grigio Ferro which is equipped with a package of extras which costed a fortune.
Hi Mario. Good to hear that it is a European wide phenomenon. Only a few days wait for you now. Modis says my car is still status 20 but a call to the factory this morning confirmed it as Status 40 so it has been painted and is now on the assembly line. Shouldn't be much longer. Incidentically I haven't received and of the production pics yet, I assume due to the Modis back log.
I ordered the car in October 2016. I'm not sure exactly when the car was locked but decided to change wheel style in January. The dealer tried but the build was already locked. However they contacted the factory and managed to change the wheel style.
Justin, just as an example I ordered mine in august 16 , but specifically requested a March car due to reg plate changeover in the Uk.
Just got this image on My Ferrari. Even though I know the car was actually Status 40 (Assembly) a week a ago, seeing an actual image of my car has suddenly got my pulse racing. Image Unavailable, Please Login
My car is now Status 50 - Assembly line (engine/transmission) I got this picture today which must be from quite a few days ago. Looks like they've got the colour right Image Unavailable, Please Login
Better than I felt when I received the same pic! Great news Justin. Pics are normally a bit behind so wouldn't surprise me if in the real world she's just been finished. Any confirmed delivery date? Very exciting for you.
Just trying to find out the real status as Modis is still playing catch up. No delivery date yet but I am hoping early April.
Justin on this picture we can see that the Grigio Ferro paint is already there and looking very good and once you see your F12 being born that way I bet must be a great sensation.
