I have my slot but am waiting a little bit to configure. I'm still thinking about a visit to Maranello with Tailor Made if my schedule allows otherwise I'll build it over the next 3-4 weeks here in Washington DC.

A friend of mine met with Tailor Made in NY and his car is in production.

Yep. Guessing your partner has a relationship with the dealership and will coordinate the flip w/them?

I was wondering the same thing. how would it actually work? I was under the impression that FNA had to approve the clients who get allocations. If that is the case I don't see how this would work.

no clue on the specifics on how it would work and whether he is going to bother. he asked so i asked.

he's an arm length partner in a RE deal.

well connected in the entertainment/culinary/fashion area....

no way he is able to flip his allocation. FNA picks every customer by hand that gets the car. if he does flip it will be his last allocation ever

    The long way home
Flipping an allocation is a pretty straight-forward, and was very common recently on the 991 GT3RS. Typically goes something like this -

Original holder of the allocation names his price (over MSRP premium).

"Buyer" pays the premium as a deposit.

Allocation owner submits the buyer's specs.

Allocation owner takes delivery and flips title to the buyer on delivery.

This is obviously frowned upon by the manufacturers and dealers, but very common. As mentioned, sometimes the seller just doesn't care...

Me smells mega BS, "are these trading for a premium", may "flip" hilarious.
