Really looks excellent on the F12!!
Well ... I like Silverstone, Ferro and CdF so much that I feel Titanio like a Shy color which is hesitating to be REALLY grey... Chrsitian , that beautiful studio picture doesn't reflect the real nature of titanio. It looks almost like ferro the outdoor picture shows it well. And really it doesn't work for me. Like Grigio Alloy. The two worst colors IMO
Interesting comments on Grigio Titanio..I took delivery on my F12 a few months ago and had chosen GT triple paint after months of consideration... I have to say, the comments on the blue hue are certainly correct.. if the car is indoors or out on a cloudy day the color is somewhat bland to me... then the sun comes out and the triple paint color explodes into this deep metallic silver with no blue hue and it looks great... I guess i'm going to have to move to a state where the sun shines more days than NC... it really is quite a color transformation and yesterday (cloudy) I had an architect remark how the GT paint color really made the wonderful lines of the car stand out... but it still looks blue to me....
I was told a July build with an August or September delivery date. I tried to pin him down yesterday but that was still the best he could give me
Ha, yes. They extorted me to buy an FF in hopes of getting the LaFerrari...which never happened. This time it was the California T for the TdF...but I was a little smarter this time and made them promise before I spent $300k on a car I didn't want. Hey, but I'm not bitter
I bought an FF with the same message. I was selected to go to maranello to see the official unveiling with montezemolo etc - and I had 10 other Ferraris in my stable, one of which is an f40 and I had bought 5 new cars in the prior 2 years. LaF call never came. are all TDF buyers asked to buy a cali t?
haha - extortion when they don't keep their promise for sure I don't think theres a set period for holding the cali.
My dealer usually makes me sign an agreement that they get the first right of refusal if I sell it in the first 12 months. Don't get me wrong, I like the California T. I'll keep it, I'll probably take it to our Florida house and let my wife drive it while we're there. I'm fine with the T, just didn't need the T
I wasn't trying to imply there is anything wrong with a cali t. It's a lovely car. I don't like pressure to buy one thing I really don't need/want as a condition to get another thing I do want....and badly...Is it an FNA thing or is business done the same way in Europe ?
I didn't like the pressure either It was my dealer who put the pressure on, but they alleged they were doing it on behalf of FNA....by the way, with a lot of us being shareholders now, there are interesting fiduciary duty and consumer protection laws at play here. may be interesting to investigate, ha.
Well it's nice to know that if I find myself in a similar position going forward someday, I will be in good company.
absolutely! On the the money. I guess with your Fcar experience you know their game. I was at Continental for service the other day I must have seen a few cars from your past purchases. George told me that they belonged to 'a guy' from St Louis area. Guessing must have been you. Anyhow Congrats on the purchases! Very glad to hear they promised you the TDF.
I bought a Cali T hoping to get an aperta. Aperta never came although I was "awarded" a speciale. Dealer told me the factory want all TDF owners to own an FF. I bought a FF as a result.
Thanks for sharing an incredible car purchase with us! The car will be spectacular. Very elegant and at the same time very agressive with its styling. About the shields... IF the car is made out of carbon fibre, the carbon shield could be the symbol of that. If the car is not made of carbon, I think it is wrong to put a carbon shield on... Just my opinion. The yellow standard shield, is a very strong branding detail and a logo should never be "duplicated" in other styles or colors (first thing you learn at a marketing school!). This car is so unique in itself, that the uniqueness will stand out better if it has normal shields. And you don't want to have people looking at it an think "is that real carbon or just a vinyl lookalike". Let Us know when you get it. I could die for a ride in that car. Thinking my 550 is pretty fast, the TdF will probably change my perception...
