Currently have a F12, with a deposit in on a 12 Cilindri Spider. A great spec GTS just became available, and am wondering if it is worth the upgrade and ditching my deposit. I saw the new car in person at Challenge last weekend and it looks better in person than in pictures. My problem is that my dealer has many VIP customers, so I would be near the back of the line and would not get a car until probably ‘27, and be subject to all price increases. For those that went F12 to 812, are you happy with your decision, or should I keep the F12 and have extra maintenance money. Thanks.

I went from F12 to 812 SF (pre-GPF). Design aside, it's objectively better in pretty much every measurable way: better handling due to the AWS, noticeably faster acceleration, better traction, higher red line, more fun and aggressive transmission programming in race+ modes, nicer interior. Up to the race mode, F12 seemed more fun, but once you switch off CT on the 812, the fun is back. CT off feels more manageable on the 812.

The stock suspension on the 812 feels stiffer and it's less of a GT car than the F12. Stock wheels + springs on the 812 are so good that you don't really need to change them. OTOH, it's a needed upgrade on the F12. Stock exhaust on the F12 sounds to me slightly better than on the 812.

I'd rather keep the 812 than go back to the F12, but for somebody who never drove both cars much, they'll be very similar. Go and drive the 812 and see what you think. Maybe you won't find the differences significant enough. Finally, on paper, changes from 812 to 12Cilindri look more incremental than from F12 to 812.
