The base price is $315,888, with delivery and gas guzzler $323,338. Pretty good standard spec compared to 599 and 2012 FF. Mine came to $373K with masses of carbon. Image Unavailable, Please Login
When you consider the competition such as the Vanquish at 300K, you get far more car with the F12. Congratulations on a wonderful purchase. Enjoy it in good health when it arrives.
Correct. No specific allocations, no MODIS. Build will be very late 2012 for USA for late spring 2013 delivery. That may change depending on sales and profit goals for FNA. I took advantage of the atelier services in Maranello where I could physically evaluate colors and options on actual built Euro cars and discuss and gain insight from the Director of what in his valued opinion works best.
Actually the car is in modis and can be specced, it's just that FNA hasn't released allocations to dealers at this time so it'll just sit in W status until further notice.
Yes, my misunderstanding of MODIS. I have my spec from the atelier with codes. Told today the order will go firm late December early January at the latest.
Anybody know which dealers will be certified to service the F12? I was told that Ferrari will limit it to 7 in North America.
Every dealer will have able to service the F12. Curious where your "source" would get that info. This is a regular production car just like the 458 and cali which every dealer services.
The source was the owner of the dealership. He also mentioned that only 6 dealerships will be "granted" the right to work on the DCT which currently no one can. Unless he is blowing smoke up my ____ then I apologize in advance.
that would interesting, as the F12 engine and gearbox are based on the FF's powertrain....obviously up-tuned, but F12 has consistent technology with FF and 458. I would be surprised if that were true. For the F70, I would believe that "Servicing" would be a bit more complex and few dealers would want to invest in the training/tools, especially if they average less than one car delivered. My understanding - I think from Fchat - is that dealers are unable/unwilling/unlikely to crack open an engine or gearbox, if under warranty they will just swap the entire unit back to FNA for "depot-level" rehab (if at all). Curious if Steve from Boardwalk has an opinion (as his would be more accurate than mine, to the extent he can share) ( EDIT - saw your post over in Cali section re Getrag gearboxes and certifying some dealers to work on internals - that makes sense if/as required for out-of-warranty work) Having said that, the folks who take care of my F430C are waiting for the chance to rebuild that engine piece by piece, and I'm sure it will be better than new.
I can't argue the point, nor am I happy Hi-jacking this thread, so I apologize for the second time. It is information that was told to me this morning when I dropped my car off and the owner drove me home. I had the DCT failure and he filled me in on what the DCT issues were/are and how Ferrari is moving forward with new cars. I think I will leave it at this. Sorry for interrupting.
Love the CF, my spec exactly!! Can't wait to see the pics, hope you're doing well, going to be an amazing Ferrari!! When did you get the chance to spec it in Maranello? Mark
After the Monza race weekend. Delivery 2nd Q 2013. Will replace yellow shields with CF shields so the only yellow color are the hood badge and steering wheel logo. Still will be hard to give up the FF. The car still amazes me with it's potential for ferocity and the power is so usable on selective country roads. Coming up for 11 months now !
If you are going to pick up a 2013 F12 Ferrari, looks like the USA is the cheapest country at MSRP a $315,888 US. What comes standard on the US car that comes in the Cdn car? In Canada the MSRP for the 2013 F12 is $359,900 CDN but they say they are including navigation, Hele High Emotion emission, I pod installation, sat radio, inner/outer electrochromatic mirror and homelink, cruise control, smokers kit, and front and rear parking sensors. Works out to about $11,800 in extra's that are cost options on the 458 Italia. Dealer prepon the F12 is $2895, transportation is $4125, green levy gas tax is $4000 As of todays date is costs $1.01 US dollar to buy $1 Cdn dollar. 1% difference.
