Sorry to hear the F12 has another interest who got the first choice. But only sorry, if you not trade in your 458 because i'm sure you would miss that little, nimble, screaming driving machine! I love the F12 but don't buy one because i have to trade the 458 for it and i don't want to let Sid go.
yes, that was the plan...trade the Cayenne in. Race seats limit's the selections. They are a must for me to gain that extra inch of headroom.
LOL..I know if I was in his shoes...putting a deposit down and flying in to see it.... the chances of me not completing the deal would be very small. I will find another one...maybe even in a color other than black. Miller Motorcars has a silver one with chocolato interior(No interior CF), race seats. It looks great, but no suspension lift which I would like to have after I put novitec lowering springs in the car. http://www.millermotorcars.com/used/Ferrari/2014-Ferrari-F12+Berlinetta-4a5fef2d0a0e08f72b31a785a60d5332.htm
Nice find. Unique spec that works well for a GT. Different look than your 458. I think the silver shows the lines of the f12 well.
Sale pending is on the other car...less expensive. Hmmm...I wonder if I will be back in the game (the car I want) ?
Why is it a bad idea? The price difference in some cases is 50%. Yea some dealers may be upset that they can't scam their clients. My brand new loaded to the tits F12 came to like $300k usd a year ago and I waited like 10 weeks for it from the factory. Walked into the dealer off the street.
Apparently their marketing dept made a mistake and put sale pending on the wrong car on the website lsitings. The car I want is truly gone. A day of mourning for me...lol edit: In case anyone is wondering...this is no longer a 599 vs F12 thread...lol. This thread is my quest for the perfect F12. Key wants: 2014 or newer Suspension lift Racing Seats - Large Important but not mandatory: Lots of interior CF.
Yes exactly. To each their own. But I can deal with the draw backs for the price. You're getting ripped off you ask me with Mark ups. Plus it's considered used.
What does everyone think of the lower body parts on the car including diffusor painted exterior color. This car has all the options I like. Just trying to decide if I want a rosso corso F12. https://algarferrari.com/showroom/pre-owned-details/F12berlinetta-vin-ZFF74UFA9E0199567 Image Unavailable, Please Login
That depends on your visual taste. I feel that the body-colored sills make the F12 look "fatter" than it needs to look. The darker sills, whether they be the "sport" sills (dark gray) or the carbon fiber version, provide a contrast that makes the car look svelte... just better. On some cars, this effect is even more pronounced: compare side-profile pictures of an Aventador with body-colored sills vs one without (e.g. an Aventador SV). On the F12, body-colored is not terrible, but like I said, depends on *your* taste. In any case, this is easy to "fix" after the fact if you so choose. You could easily get them wrapped in black or gray. You could also pick up aftermarket carbon fiber ones.
The full red is starting to grow on me. The one left out item is no shift LED's on the steering wheel. I'm not sure they are really necessary, but I do like the look of them on my 458.
Thanks fella's for your opinions. I see what you mean about the tubby factor. The kicker is the red painted diffusor. Too bad. One of the nicest interiors I have seen. I really dig the Daytona inserts on the race seats. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Rare spare wheel option. Not fond of the front/rear body colored pieces. Matching sills look much better to me on F12 with certain 3-layer colors but all in your own taste.
I'm a fan of this build. Bianco Italia with lots of CF + race seats. $440+ msrp. http://the-collection.ebizautos.com/plugin-detail.aspx?iid=13765541
That is a nice spec...just wish it were closer to me not requiring airline flight to see it and motor freight to get to car back home.
IMO, get the brake vents the normal black/gray (matches the grill area) and keep the body-colored front lip spoiler. It makes the front end look a lot more "complete" and coordinated, with the spoiler painted that way. Here's a picture I filled in..... BUT that's it!!! Get rid of all the other body-colored sills around the car. It does indeed make it look fat. Image Unavailable, Please Login
^^^I agree Dave. This car is out however. I don't really want to have to go through a repaint for those parts on a practically brand new car...the final kicker...No LED shift lights on the Steering wheel. Why would anyone, especially with a high optioned car like this opt for no LED's ? If you find them distracting you can turn them off. There will be no compromises on the F12 I finally pick.. I am a patient man.
