UK Magazine Autocar has an excellent article comapring the F12 to the Aventador.
    F12 does great.
Not sure if this link will work, but give it a try,
Note that the F12 did 0-124mph in 8.5 seconds!

Looks like British magazine Autocar managed to get their hands on both cars at once, and put them through the paces.

    Very impressive.

Really good article. It's interesting how both Ferrari and Lambo have kept their design and engineering philosophies so different from one another for all these years.

    The F12 sounds amazing.

Just got my copy for that issue of Autocar in the mail, will have to read all about it.
Of course Lamborghini is offering an open version of the Aventador, I wonder if Ferrari will bother to respond with a special F12 to...

Amazing F12 has 40 more HP out of a smaller displacement than the Lambo
Even though the F12 is made from aluminum it weighs less than the Aventador
The F12 has better fuel efficiency and costs less to buy

They actually did not tested the cars. the 0-124mph is the claimed ferrari value

Why does the fact that they stated the exact time as Ferrari claim for the 0-124mph mean they did not actually drive the car? If you read the article, which I just have, they talk about the F12's ride, steering, gear response etc etc. Could they have done that without physically having the cars? (Well they could have, but that would have other connotations)

They drove the cars but they did not time them. The times we see are those claimed by the manufacturers. Autocar does not even quote 0-124 mph times as this is a continental measurement (0-200 km/h).

Well Autocar seems to think the handling on less than glass smooth roads and transmission shifting are two characteristics where the Aventador fails.

ChalStrad here got right to the point though> The F12 is a front engined GT with the handling precision of a 458...who else can produce that? The Aventador is an engine but the rest is awful....

It's the second magazine that really doesnt like the Aventador. Motor Trend placed it 9th in their Driver Cars issue (behind a Subaru..). Now this one.

EVO had said that Ferrari should be worried by the Aventador, but it seems they talk too soon.
