    The F12 lacks a pulse?
When your opinion runs several standard deviations from the vast majority of automotive enthusiasts I suppose I don't need to take you seriously going forward then.

ok guys, i am going to test drive the f12 on the weekend :) couple of facts:

i wasn't going to buy an FF, test drove it, and bought it.
i never test drove my Aventador, and now i dont want it.

    i'm also test driving a '15 Vanquish...

I do like the Vanquish a lot maybe because I never owned an AM before but not sure if its compared to the F12.

The FF one of the cars i regert not buying but good thing is I already on list for the new FF.

I would buy the F12 and keep it. I wouldn't swap it out for the 488 GTB

I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the vanquish on normal roads for day to day driving and how that compares to the FF and F12.

I agree. If nailing the gas in an F12 doesn't give you emotion wtf r u looking for? Rear wheel drive, intense acceleration (better than Aventador for sure) and a screaming v12 lacks soul? What is a GTR then? Being a good/usable car doesn't equate for me as a lack of soul. I think it enhances the car because it makes me want to use it more.

    Hey guys,

I test drove 5 completely different cars on the weekend.

    F12
    2015 Vanquish
    Huracan
    570s
    GT3

Vanquish sucked. that pretty much sums it up. Just not sporty enough for me.

Huracan is super fast. But it's so cheap inside, it's almost embarrassing. I love the size though.

570s. I've had the 12c before. This car is great, but the build quality still isn't there.

F12 is AMAZING. It's SOO fast. Literally the fastest car I've ever been in. Much faster than my FF. Although it's a big car, it felt small.

Gt3 - my favourite. It's so much fun to drive.

    so my conclusion:

I want a smaller car that is a bit more fun to drive. I'll now look to trade in the aventador for a Speciale (if i can find one) or a Gt3.

Interesting stuff. Never underestimate a GT3, they always punch above their weight.

Thanks for the review. The Vanquish is really that bad? At ecoty 2014 -- reviewers loved it at 7/10 or 8/10 and said that would be the car they would take home.

Vanquish is an awesome car! I would have bought it but its specifically a summer only vehicle so since I have enough of those I passed on it. But interior wise and power and handling its amazing. Also easily one of the most beautiful cars on the road.

I just don't think the Vanquish was the type of car of he was looking for. It's a great GT but it's not a super car. Doesn't feel very light or quick especially compared to an F12 or GT3. I can see why the car didn't fulfill his wants but it's a great GT, and beauuuuuutiful.

don't get me wrong, it's not BAD. it's just bad in comparison to an F12. id say it loses in all categories. Looks, performance and build quality.

i'd get the vanquish over a Bentley CGT & Wraith. Just not an F12.

    Man, the F12 is FAST!

Ludicrously fast. Much faster than an aventador from a roll. Honestly fastest car I've ever driven by some margin. Just scrambles the brain.

Thanks for the clarification. This seems consistent to what people are saying. Is the ride comfort around town noticeably better than the F12?

to be honest, not really. i feel more secure in the F12 to be honest. if you floor it in the Vanquish, it goes sideways. Not with the F12.

Regardless, I thought they had comparable comfort and the interior of the F12 was much better.

i have a hard time putting the vanquish in the same category as the F12. Not even the FF.

Interesting thread this .... I've had my Aventador coupe for 3 years now and I love it, the looks, the drive, the sound, the theatre. I've always wanted a V12 Lamborghini ever since I watched the cannonball run films as a kid and it has never disappointed.

However, back in February 2015 I decided to swap it for a more sensible car that we can all fit in, so started looking at 2+2's and then test drove an FF. It was everything that I 'thought' I wanted, so I bought it put my Aventador on SoR with the dealer.
I drove my Aventador over to the dealer, said goodbye and left it and collect my new FF ... It's the only time I have ever felt sad, disappointed and wondering if I am doing the right thing when picking up a new car.

Don't get me wrong, the FF is a great car, it's got power, it's practical, it's a great all rounder and the interior is just beautiful (especially compared to the Aventador), but I just don't look at it and "love it" with the same affection.

The Aventador is my dream car, V12 Lambos always have been, whereas the FF is just a really really nice car.

For those first 2 weeks I really regretted letting the Aventador go, knowing it was a head over heart decision .... so I was absolutely delighted when the dealer called to say "sorry but the buyer we had lined up has pulled out" and I went straight over to get my car back and decided to keep both.

The F12 is better looking than the FF for sure, although I haven't driven one so can't comment on how one drives .. But neither can IMO compare to the Lambo in terms of drama.

I would not change my Aventador for anything other than another Aventador, maybe an SV Coupe or SV Roadster.

The FF is undeniably a nicer place to sit, the cabin is more luxurious and its overall a far more comfortable car, especially for any distance and the technology and finishing touches are far ahead of the Lambo. But, it doesn't grip the road or inspire confidence anywhere near what the Aventador does, which gets better the longer you own the car and push it harder and get to know the car better.

My FF is black and goes relatively unnoticed .... The Lambo is Lime Green and gets noticed from a mile away. The Lambo gets attention from all ages, wherever it goes and everyone takes pictures, by comparison I've not seen anyone take a picture of the FF, Although I've had the occasional "nice car" comment when filling her up with fuel ... But compared to the Lambo, as lovely as the FF is, I can't help but think it just feels a 'bit boring' and a sensible/grown up car.

The cars are different enough to justify having both, but if I was going on a longer run on the motorway with passengers, I'd probably take the Range Rover which is an even nicer place to be than the FF (unless it's likely to be a spirited drive).

The great thing about cars is that everyone's different and there are so many choices!

Just need to get myself a nice sports exhaust for the FF, which will helpfully make me enjoy it that little bit more.

I have friends that have adventadors and all have said they are a super car, exhilarating, attention getting machines. That being said they also say the ride quality and intown driving is not so good. I just bought a new F12 and feel it is the best high horsepower, comfortable, seat pinning attention getting car I have driven. The only car that I have that gets more attention is my 488GTB or 458 Spider. For a longer cruise and adreneline making power can't beat the F12.

Well, if you hate the Lambo, and the F12 is a downgrade, than you'll hate the F12 even more. And if you think the F12 is beneath you, then the 488 shouldn't even be a consideration.

Sounds like sticking with Lambo might be the best fit here.

I'll echo others here - do yourself a huge favor and test drive both cars. I have an Aventador SV Roadster and an F12 TDF, and they could not be more different in person. It's like the McLaren P1 vs LaFerrari - both superb, but very very different personalities and driving experiences.
