The Viper looks like it's trying to hard to be a fast car. The Ferrari simply looks like it belongs. The F12 for me,, no question.

And if it's anything like the last one, it'll be one ...

Remembering a track day a few years ago, all the Vipers overheated and had to park and cool off b4 they could go out again.

The looks of the new Viper are too much for me...the older car looked cleaner and more beautiful IMVHO.

The F12 is a wonderful car and be sought after for years to come.

Since I would rather drive my old 360 than a new Viper, I would certainly rather have the F12 no question.

Gen II Viper is one of the few cars I can say are perfect in their exterior design execution. F355 is another. Diablo is another.

What disappoints me in this Gen 3 is that it doesn't really offer anything fresh. It's a warmed over version of the same thing. It looks like the classic "design school exercise" -- reskin this car but don't change too much.

Say what you want about the F12 but it looks different and innovative from it's predecessor.

I'm sure the same argument occurred with the Daytona replacing the 275 GTB. But today, we love them both even though they are completely different.

How boring is the world that we can't try and accept something new anymore...

It is not Gen 3 for the Viper it is Gen 5. I am a huge fan of Ferrari and Viper but the F12 sure reminds me of the California and I just think all F cars should be mid engined from the Boxer on.

It's funny that the "old" viper set the nurburgring record not a Ferrari that cost 4x you much. You guys are knocking the viper just because you are Ferrari only biased. Won't it be funny when a viper that's 1/4th the price beats every Ferrari at the nurburgring again and sets the world record again?

I like the Aventador but the F12 is a really fresh, aggressive new look at the traditional front engine V12 coupe.

this is comparing apples and oranges. how can this match even occur. brute(Viper) elegance(Ferrari) The changes made to the Viper match what i wanted changed and beyond. A Ferrari and their owners live in a different world with different goals. Both cars have their market.

American cars will gain my respect when they start designing their own cars. Look at the corvette headlights and compare them to the 360. Now this?
As they all say, compare the Viper to the Ferrari. Its never, "Compare the Ferrari to the Viper."
Don't get me wrong, the Viper still looks amazing but seems like two different people designed the first front half of the cat and then a second person picked it up from the middle of the doors and went back.

    +1

Very disappointed! The Viper is a car I've always loved. Can't say that too often about a car coming from the states after the 70s.
