If anyone has a copy of the F12tdf personalization programme, would love to have it and geek out over the available options and choices

Separately, I bet the usage of the tdf is not on average the same as the F12, but does anyone know if the same issues that affect some of the F12s with the mesh/paint bubble/corrosion present themselves also on the tdf or if Maranello fixed this by then? Wondering about this and the rear brake light / hatch / water issues too.

For that matter I'm even wondering about the mesh on my Speciale....seems like every modern Fcar has it somewhere on the exterior.. but only seems like the F12 has the corrosion from the mesh making contact with the body panels?

    PM sent!

I think most, if not all, of the metal mesh elements on the TDF connect to pieces made out of CF so I think this would not be an issue. Also I do not think the rear hatch suffers the water issues- it had to do with the break light, the rear hatch is different on the TDF.

As far as I know, only the bumpers are CF on the F12TdF. The rest of the panels standard aluminum so the glorious triple vents on each rear quarter I would think have the same potential. Not sure about the 812sf as there are something like nine more grills and no CF body panels but I thought I saw that the grills were plastic - maybe someone else can confirm.

You may be right - I think the rear haunches are also CF but maybe no? I bet its mentioned somewhere in the press materials.

I asked an owner before on this forum and did not get an answer. Knowing the body lines of the F12B and F12TdF you cannot have CF haunches without going up and over the roof and A-pillars so unless there is documentation to the contrary its just the bumpers and the aero-vents in the front. If you wanted to same more weight the hood and trunk lids are easy choices and then the doors which are more complicated. The roof and haunches would likely drive a full CF body deal like the Monza.

Indeed. You can see Challenge64's unpainted TDF. All the body panels are brushed aluminum, but the bumpers which are painted to match the aluminum body.

I checked all 812 mesh grills by using a magnet; all are metal, not aluminum or plastic.

Thanks. If the magnet test was positive for ferrous metal and the body is aluminum then its logical the potential exists assuming similar construction.
