I would take it a step further and ask which Japanese car does it most remind you of? On top of which, the Enzo was designed by a Japanese designer - Ken Okuyama - however the 430 and 599 were both designed by Americans; Frank Stephenson and Jason Castriota respectively. I would ask exactly how these designs emulate a Japanese style because there aren't any Japanese sports cars competing against Ferrari or any exotics manufacturer. _J
Dear all, the new name has been confirmed and it will be " CALIFORNIA " Nice name and I can confirm you I have been confirmed from Ferrari directly !
Drats... sorry, but I hope your source of information is not correct. I would much rather my next F-car have a "traditional" Italian name to it !
I was referencing the pictures posted above of the silver "Dino" concept, posted above. It's not anything specific, but a feeling I get from the design. For example, the new 8C embodies "Italian" styling. The F430 looks more Asian than "Italian", at least to my eye. Just my opinion. Both cars are extraordinary and attractive, but I find the 8C more classically "beautiful" than I do the 430.
"I would ask exactly how these designs emulate a Japanese style because there aren't any Japanese sports cars competing against Ferrari or any exotics manufacturer." So the Nissan GTR is competing against what then?? Saturn??
Even though this car seems to be a pure marketing tool to fill a certain demographics, I'm sure this car will have something unique to it that other Ferrari's don't have, either new technology or styling feature or even both.
Using the more "stereotypical" elements of the Enzo: Its headlights, taillights, angular sill intakes and dog's breakfast rear detailing, to bugger up the 360. Borrowing heavily from the 80's Japanese "surface development" school of excrescence and a Mitsubishi (and the Okuyama designed C5/6 Vette) most particularly.
