Keep watching for this web site. www.ferrarigtcountdown.com It was supposed to be up on 4/14 but has been delayed until 4/28. It will have the F149 information.
just met with my dealer who came back from a formal dealer intro about the california, 4.7 liter engin 7 gear superfsast box , the car looks like a baby 599, retracktable hard top as in SL, optional reare seats as in 911 barely for kids or small adults. the car will be about 10 k less than an F430 with very close performace figuers. new sat nav screen and latest tel and on board computer. Paris as we all know by now is where it will be set free..........
The seems where the pieces join on the foilding roof are pretty good, its almost like you cant even see them
LOL! I like the rendering of the F149 on that magazine cover... I love it when Ferrari comes out with an entirely new car....
Lets face it guys, nobody is the wiser here. We ALL know the same amount of imformation and were all waiting for tomorrow and the web-site going up! All in good time, im sure that a few more things may be leaked between now and the Paris autoshow, but we'll see soon. ... its a 612. _J
Here more info on the 612 in the above photo 612 SCAGLIETTI The new 612 Scaglietti incorporate a series of technical evolutions that reflect the Ferrari philosophy of constantly introducing innovations in each model. Most notably, the V12 flagship now boasts an electrochromic panoramic roof which covers the entire top of the cabin. This has the dual advantage of giving occupants the feeling of driving along in a drop-top whilst enjoying the comfort and safety of a coupé. However, this is no ordinary panoramic roof. It is made from electrochromic glass which can be changed at the touch of a button to adjust the levels of sunlight allowed into the cabin. The electrochromic glass solution was developed in close collaboration with Saint Gobain, a partner with whom Ferrari has most recently developed a similar highly innovative solution for the Superamerica. In addition to its electrochromic roof, the 612 Scaglietti also sports the aptly named SuperFast gearbox which delivers an exceptional gear-shifting time of 100 milliseconds and a reduced inertia clutch to enhance the engine's responsiveness still further. The iconic Ferrari manettino, now featured on the entire range, has also been added to the steering wheel. The 612 Scaglietti is a sumptuous, roomy two-door four-seater that's a pleasure to be aboard regardless of the driving conditions
So it was delayed from 4/14 to 4/24 and yet it's still not up. Where did we get this info from? There doesn't seem to be any other source for this. ferrarigtcountdown.it goes straight to ferrariworld.com but that's it...
sounds like we have been had. as i said earlier, why would ferrari release the info now rather than let us debate and speculate until we get closer to paris. they have done a great job keeping the car and it's info out of the public for a couple of years. remember when the 430 photo surfaced and everyone was convinced it was fake, but low and behold....
Now it worries me about what HAS surfaced.... I hope that stuff IS camo! Come on fellas - and yes it is A-FREAKIN-MAZING how Ferrari have kept this car completely out of ANY public eye. Paris it shall be. _J
Directly from a dealer in California. As I understand it, final details on the 149 are still being discussed. The big detail is whether the car is going to have those useless seats in back. The DOT may have a bigger say in this than Ferrari?
