Does anyone know the color the factory is using this year on the F14T? I'm thinking of using it on my new Speciale order. Thanks in advance, Rb
It has been Rosso Scuderia for some time now, so pretty sure this year wouldn't be any different. There were seasons (I think in 09-10) that they were running Nuovo Rosso Scuderia though.
I believe they are using Rosso scuderia for the reason that it looks better on the camera. The rosso scuderia color looks like rosso corsa on camera.
The shades change every year. I am not sure if they change the name of the color or simply call what ever the F1 car is painted "Rosso Scuderia". The color car that I saw in 2000 at Indy was different than what I saw in Monza 2009, and Austin 2013.
When I say "some time now" I specifically mean since 2009. Prior to 2009 there were these shades of red: Rosso Corsa Rosso Marlboro Rosso Perlato It's documented in my hardcover Scuderia Ferrari book. And just in case no one knows, Nuovo Rosso Scuderia simply means they put in some metallic pearl in the Rosso Scuderia shade to liven things up. As far as I know it was only run for 1 or 2 seasons.
