The uprated relay for the F1 pump part # V23134-B57-X266 is available on eBay but I see a lot of different colors -- red, purple, orange. Is there any difference or would it be better just to get it from the BMW dealer?
    Thanks

Remi- F430 came with a 50 amp relay, as did late 360s and CSs. Not a problem for your car.

Alan- The BMW relay is an X152. You can buy them for $15-20 from online BMW parts sources, so could get 2-3 for the price of an X266, but would probably need to change it every 3 years or so, when you changed the belts.

The x152 sells under bmw part # 61361393403 for the amount noted by taz.

Its been 2 days and they havent confirmed my registration on another forum that has a 50a upgrade how-to. I hate that forums force you to be a member and signed on before you can see their pics. I remember how easy going forums used to be...

Isn't the 266 a better relay -- harder contacts? Also I understand that there is a member who can get a relay that fails open. Not sure who that was.

Seriously guys - how often do you use your horn? I think I used it maybe twice in three years...
