With all those winglets it's starting to resemble the lamarossa...

j/k. I don't care what it look like, it's fast, and fast is beautiful. :)

Not what I'd call beautiful, but if she performs that's all that matters.

Slightly OT, I guess the Ferrari IPO was not announced , as it was rumored to be, in conjunction with this unveiling... or was it?

    The F2005 looks great!!

This is what Michael said today..
“My biggest threat this year is Rubens,” said Schumacher, speaking at the launch of the new Ferrari F2005 on Friday. “He is my toughest competitor.

Paolo Martinelli said...The 055 can only be fitted to the new F2005 car.
So what are Sauber getting? It looks like Sauber are getting the same engine as the one in the F2004M (053) but with not the same specs.
Sauber are giving Ferrari $30 millions for the 053?

    Looks like "splitsville" for '06......
"Sir Frank Williams(!!) says that BMW will supply Sauber with customer engines in 2006. The Swiss team has decided that it no longer wants to meet the cost of a Ferrari engine."
So it seems Ferrari may not give a s**t for '05....."Take it or leaveit, Peter........"

There does not appear to be any openings in the "stacks"? Are they just winglets to shap the airflow? If true, I wonder how they are scavanging the hot air? And whats up with the mini-spoiler under the nose? Is that their version of a "deep chin"? ;0)

Hey John T, the 053 is probably out-producing 90% of the motors on the grid - and you know it will last a few laps! Not a bad investment. Look for them on the podium this year!

Ahhh......there's just something about a new scarlet car at the beginning of the race season!

    Let the games begin!

IMO the Sauber looks much better. Won't be faster... but, looks more elegant. The lines flow better..

The Sauber is definitely prettier. But I don't think we have really seen the real Ferrari. Pls stand up! And we probably won't until Imola.

I think you're right. Also I'll bet the car that rolls out at Imola will look very different from this one.

I agree. I think Ferrari is doing the same thing they did last year, by putting the nose of F2004M on the F2005 and maybe even the rear wing for the introduction. But the actual aero-package will be very different. Then again, perhaps I am just in denial, I just find those mini chin-spoilers are just too darn ugly. But they are nothing that I can't live with as long as they wins.

    IMO F2005 looks stunning !
    One more week. I'm hyped.
Imagine how the teams and drivers feel right now.
I for one hope they do away with this ridiculous tire rule.
Towards the end of the race I hope it does'nt look like a bunch of Felipe Massa's driving around spinning off.

In response to the FIAT logo, I believe that's an exact copy of the script taken from one of the old logos the company has used. In the 1920s, the brand consisted of a circular crown of laurels with "FIAT" written inside it in the same style we now see on the nose of the 2005 F1 Ferrari.

As for the looks, well, to quote Angelina Jolie: I was always a sucker for a Redhead ;)
